Oh, I like this so much, Ule, on many levels. At first, I only saw the bench, which, along with the title, played a powerful trick on my mind. In a split second, I saw you on that bench. A selfie without you for sure. Without the words, I would have simply seen a bench someone might enjoy for a pleasant rest. With the words, it’s brilliant!
When I saw the gallery of photos, I got the full impact, which is even more intriguing. How to approach memoir and autobiography from a new angle, using images, is something that I’ve been thinking about for a long time.
My take on the group overall is that it shows a love for the domestic – the table, the garden, good food, etc. The beach and the tree in the fog broaden the scope, taking it away from the immediate surroundings. Finally, the second and third photos show a direct engagement with art. I think the second photo – that high-key image of mark-making tools – is my favorite.
What Paula said, which I think is an interpretation that you remain a little hidden, like the tree in fog (?) is very interesting. Sometimes I think Paula has a clear line to the psyche. 😉
It’s a delightful, thought-provoking, generous post, Ule. One that I’ll remember for a long time. (And as you might guess, I’m thinking about doing something similar now!)

Only after publishing, funny that it was so late, I thought there was something missing in this series, that is my urban side of personality: you and Petra brought the aspect to the fore by mentioning the domestic as a remarkable center of gravity. This is an apt observation valid beyond the limit of the photo series, maybe an emphasis due to the pandemic.

Ja, ich finde auch, dass hier viel von dir rüber kommt, auch wenn du dich nirgends zeigst. Deine Liebe zur Natur, deine Freude am künstlerischen Experiment, das Auge isst mit beim gesunden Essen und bist du denn so ordentlich wie es hier scheint? 😉
Irgendwie sagt mir der Baum im Nebel, dass ich dir mit diesen Aussagen aber bereits zu sehr auf die Pelle rücke, oder? Mir gefällt dieser Nebelbaum übrigens besonders gut. Herzlich, Petra

Nein, zu sehr auf die Pelle gerückt bist du mir nicht, obwohl ich deiner überraschenden Interpretation des Nebelbaumes viel abgewinnen kann.
Deine Frage nach der Ordnung kann ich nur mit „teils-teils“ beantworten 😉.

Sehr schöne Plätze, diese Ule-Plätze – so ganz persönliche Wohlfühl-, Energie- und Kreativplätze (und tatsächlich zeigen sie doch viel von Dir, diese Selfies ohne Dich).

Stimmt, solche Orte erzählen etwas. Und nachträglich fällt mir auf, dass dazu noch ein urbaner zweiter Teil gehört, er fehlt komplett. Mir sind die Städte durch die Pandemie sehr fern geworden.

Und bei den Gänseblümchen ist mein Platz genau da, von wo ich fotografiert habe: auf dem Bauch im Gras liegend.

Mit Gänseblümchen muss man auch unbedingt auf Augenhöhe kommunizieren sonst sind sie gekränkt 😉
